Overview
Fishing on the Weber has been great this summer. There are still some PMD’s midday and Caddis flying around into the evening. Early in the morning there is a decent midge hatch as well. During the late summer and into the Fall, you can find some great terrestrial fishing. Keep on moving and working the banks with a hopper or an ant pattern.
The Weber has been busy this summer due to high flows on the Lower and Middle Provo River, but as flows subside there angling pressure will spread out across the region. Enjoy the cooler temps and great fishing!

Overview
Fishing on the Weber remains solid with PMD hatches throughout the day. Most anglers have reported the hatch starting mid-morning and lasting throughout the day. Look for fishing rising in the faster riffle water and on the banks for these bugs. It is also terrestrial time on the Weber. The fish are just starting to look for these bugs so don’t be afraid to work the banks with an ant, beetle, hopper, etc… Remember that it is essential to not stand in one place when fishing terrestrials. Constantly be working the banks and moving from spot to spot.
While the caddis fishing hasn’t been as good as usual, we have had some reports of anglers doing well with nymph larva and pupa which is an indicator that the dry fly fishing could get really good at any time. Caddis fishing in the evenings on the Weber can be some of the best local fishing all summer so make sure to keep checking for these bugs consistently.
NEVER forget about streamers on the Weber…

Overview
The fishing on the Weber has been great with summer in full effect. Flows have been steady at 200 cfs and the fish are starting to look up. There have been some great PMD and caddis hatches starting in the afternoon and continuing through dusk. Sometimes these fish are tricky, so make sure to have a good presentation. Study the fish before casting and take note of patterns and behavior when they are eating dry flies. This kind of due diligence is usually the difference between anglers that are able to catch these tricky fish and those that are not. Nymphing remains consistent in the mornings with very high catch rates some days. When fishing dry flies – PMDs and Caddis are going to be your go to patterns for this time of year. Come on into the shop and we can help you pick some specific patterns that are effective when fishing these bugs. We aren’t necessarily in terrestrial season yet, but it is never a bad idea to try fishing the big bugs on the banks. When nymph fishing – Sow bugs, caddis larva, pmd emergers, and midges are all producing right now.

Overview
Water levels on the Weber between Rockport and Echo are great for fishing right now. The Mother’s Day Caddis are dwindling, but the evening caddis dry fly fishing can still be fantastic. There has been some PMD activity and with the warmer weather the yellow sallies should be starting to move. For those of you who want more solitude the Weber is a great alternative. Sow bugs, small midges, PMDs, and some cased caddis are your best nymphs this time of year. Try a lightly weighted streamer early or during the overcast days.
