Our Utah fly fishing reports offer a brief overview of current conditions on our waters. You'll find fishing reports for the main Utah rivers and streams that we guide on and fish regularly. Reports for the Lower Provo, Middle Provo, Weber River, Green River and Small Streams are included.
We write the reports based on our daily experiences on the water and information received from customers. We update the reports as conditions change and our schedule permits. If you don’t see what you are looking for, please give us a call at the shop or contact us here. We are always happy to update you with current conditions on many other Utah waters and fisheries in surrounding states as well.
Following are the latest reports in descending order of when they were last updated. As a result, you may see multiple reports on the same destination if we haven't updated one of the other destinations recently. If you want to view previous fishing reports, you can click on the category name link under the report title or use the dropdown menu in the top navigation or follow the links in the sidebar. You can also use the following links to each category: Lower Provo, Middle Provo, Weber River, Green River and Small Streams :

Location
Area Small Streams
Overview
The small streams in the area are most likely going to be flowing pretty low. However, if you do find some good water try running some nymph drifts withs sows or midges. Also, this is the time for streamers so break out those wooly buggers.

Location
Weber River
Overview
The Weber is flowing at ~28 cfs. This flow is very low. Nymphing will be the most productive if you have nowhere else to fish. Otherwise try to give the Weber a break until the flows come back up. Take a look at our other fishing reports for inspiration for trying a different fishery.

Location
Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam
Overview
The Green has a range of flows during the day. The flow will remain around 925 cfs and spike up to ~2000 cfs and then go back down. The fishing will be better when the river is higher so try to get out when the flows are closer to the peak. The streamer bite is on.

Location
Middle Provo River
Overview
The Middle Provo is flowing at ~145 cfs. We are getting close to the standard winter season flow. The brown trout are currently getting ready for their spawn, so be cautious about where you wade, cross, and fish the river to avoid destroying spawning redds.
The fishing is good if you can withstand the cold weather. Dry fly fishing might not be the most productive, but occasionally there will be a midge hatch and some BWOs. Nymphing, as always, will likely be your most productive method.

Overview
The Green has a variety of things going on right now. There has been a trico spinner fall mid morning, with fish on them in some back eddies. Caddis dry fly fishing is still ok in the late afternoon. The hopper fishing comes and goes. Streamers are starting to work better. The fish are full of ants.
