Location

Middle Provo River

Overview

The Middle Provo is flowing at about 640 cfs. Be careful when wading the river. Nymph rigs with a large amount of weight will be the standard for getting flies down to some fish. Worms, Crane fly larvae, sow bugs, will be good choices in addition to the PMD nymphs and Midges. Try to find slower water areas with some depth to locate where the fish are holding. PMDs will come off around Noon and last a couple of hours. Caddis activity is primarily in the morning and evening.

Small Streams Fishing Report 6/01/2020

Location

Area Small Streams

Overview

Some of the small streams are still at normal flow “Current Creek for instance” and some are high and in full runoff. So each location may have very different conditions, best to call 435-658-1166 and find out our latest info if you are headed to any of these areas. As the snow melts and the small streams start to rise in flow, the water has the potential to be off color or washed out. This is normal for small streams during the runoff season, but that doesn’t mean the fishing is bad necessarily. Try nymphing things like worms, leeches, and sow bugs if you find yourself fishing high water on a small stream.
