Location
Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam
Overview
Flows on the Green will start out at 1000 CFS and will bump up to about 1800 CFS as the day progresses. The dry fly eat has been tricky, most fish are keyed into smaller mayflies with some willing to eat some terrestrials, but you’ll have to work for it! The nymphing has been good, with fish eating smaller flies subsurface like small scuds, midges, mayfly and caddis patterns.

Location
Weber River
Overview
The Weber river between Rockport and Echo reservoirs is fishing good! Flows are steady at 210 CFS, a good flow, but as you move further away from the dam, you will see warmer water temps. We have seen caddis and PMD’s sporadically throughout the day. Nymphing has been productive throughout the day, but there is some dry fly opportunity. The terrestrial eat is getting good, the biggest thing when throwing a hopper or any other hatch bug over there will be covering water, don’t get too hung up fishing one run.

Location
Middle Provo River
Overview
Flows have greatly decreased with the release out of the dam being 300 CFS and below the diversion, 150 CFS. Caddis hatches have been sporadic throughout the day with little bursts of them going off all day. PMD’s have been hatching around mid-morning and continue throughout the day. The dry fly eat is ok, nymphing will still be your more productive option.

Lower Provo River
Overview
The Lower Section of the Provo River below Deer Creek Reservoir is currently at about 150 CFS. Flows have been up and down the last few weeks with not a lot of consistency. During the bumps and drops in flows the fishing can get tricky, nymphing will be your most productive option. There are caddis and PMD’s throughout the day, with the PMD hatch really starting to go off in the afternoons.

Area Small Streams
Overview
Small Streams fishing is okay. Freestone small streams are experiencing higher temps around mid-day, bug hatches are slow and fish are taking refuge. Tailwater small stream rivers are still fishing pretty good, just be aware of those warmer temperatures.
