Overview
With Spring here the fishing on the Middle Provo has been good! Plenty of midges coming off, with a few solid Blue Wing hatches throughout the day. The Blue Wing hatch is very dependent on cloud cover and temperature, but there are plenty of BWO’s and Baetis subsurface that the fish have been hunting. Fishing has been good on the lower end of the Middle also and this has been a good area to avoid the bulk of fishers that have been focused on the water from the Dam to river road.

Overview
“Winter” has been rolling along and the fishing has been consistent. Midges has been the primary food source and even a couple of buffalo midges have been spotted as well. Mid day has generally been the more productive time to fish, and there has been dry fly opportunities almost every day.. On the rare cloudy days there has been some streamer action especially on the lower part of the middle. For your dry fly and nymph fishing long leaders and 6x or smaller maximizes success.

Overview
The middle provo has hit its winter flows of ~150cfs-130cfs. Fishing has been good on a mix of baetis and midges. From river road south up to the dam has had a decent hatch most days though timing has been variable on when it starts, most action has been from 11-3ish. The fish are still hanging out in shallow riffles as well so you dont need to only focus on the classic holes. Please avoid stepping on any redds you see.

Overview
The Provo has been at 150cfs since the end of September. The drop in flows has made the fishing a little bit trickier. With the colder weather we have started to see a strong baetis hatch especially on the cloudy days. Try a variety of small (22-24) midges and gray and olive baetis emergers. There has been a couple sporadic sightings of October caddis.

Overview
The Provo has been raised to around 500cfs. This has made the hatches more sporadic and cooled the water a bit. Between active hatches focus on small midges and be on the look out for pmds and caddis to hatch during the day.
