Rivers are low and clear, and the final push before colder temps take hold are being seen with pressure bankside. Get out and enjoy what’s left, as another great season is in the books. -Rivers have started to see decreased flows over recent weeks, leading to late summer and soon to be fall time conditions. Lower water brings smaller flies and lighter tippets for most anglers. Coming into and thru terrestrial season, local hatches will start to wane until cooler weather persists in October and November. See comments below for specifics.

Fishing Report 6/12 💥
-Rivers are still raging, but it feels like the peak of runoff has come for the 2024 season. Headwaters are starting to see some relief, which should be followed by decreased the tailwater flows. The Green is starting to fish well, and it’s time to book a trip to this amazing fishery. Drop by the shop to discuss any off the radar opportunities that may exist.
-𝑴𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒐- 2/5 ⭐️

Still need to find the slower water!!! Currently nymph fishing is best technique with a bottom bounce rig. Streamer fishing can be done in back eddies and slow buckets.
-Flies-high water bugs! Annelids, sow bugs, scuds, caddis larvae, and small mayhem style patterns(22-26)
-𝑳𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒐- 2/5 ⭐️
1150 + cfs
Flows have been up/down on the LP as usual. The Lower is always harder to fish when flows are over 900cfs. Fishing similar to the MP in techniques and fly patterns.
-Flies-sows,sows, and more sows. Birds nest, ray charles,black mayhem,zebra midge,annelids
-𝑾𝒆𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓- 1/5 ⭐️

The Weeb continues to fish tough as always until flows come down. Slightly turbid and off color water can inhibit this tailwater fishery until flows subside. Flows seemed to have peaked, so watch this one closely until it gets close to 300cfs.
-𝑺𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒔-
Headwaters continue to be turbid and high, but dropping. Tailwaters are high, but fishable. Drop by the shop to discuss some opportunities that may exist for the traveling and exploring angler that may not be available in northern Utah at this particular time.
-𝑮𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝑹𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓- 3/5 + ⭐️
Flows below 1000 cfs
Flows on the green are under 1000 during peak fishing times, with a bump up in the late evening through early morning. Green River fishing is On! Bring your cicada patterns, flying 🐜, attractor patterns such as PMX and para crickets, parachute Adams and purple haze are always fun as well. Dry dropper fishing will exist with frenchie, perdigon, and zebra midge style droppers when the surface activity subsides. Steamers can be productive in low light conditions and cloudier days. Book a trip to the Green Now!!

-Rivers are rippin, and flows have hopefully reached peak runoff for the season. Stillwater opportunities continue to be your best bet for anything local next couple weeks. Carp, Bass, Wiper, and Muskie fishing await! The Green is starting to fire up with decreased flows. Drop by the shop to discuss any off the radar opportunities that may exist.

🚨River conditions update🚨

Middle Provo: flows have just been bumped to about 830 CFS. Nymphing small midges/baetis/blue wings will be productive.

Lower Provo: flows are at about 700 CFS. Nymphing small midges/baetis/bwos/sow bugs will be most productive.

Middle Weber: flows are fluctuating around 75 CFS. Not too many fish looking up but a good flow for dry fly opportunities. Nymphing will be most productive with small midges/bwos/sows.

Green River: flows have dropped back down to about 900 CFS. We have seen many fish suspended in water nymphing or running a dry dropper have been productive, as well as nymphing below an indicator. Bwos and midges have been the most effective patterns.
