Location

Middle Provo River

Overview

Fishing continues to be good on the Middle Provo right now.  The days are longer, the temperatures are warmer, and the fish are active.  The midge hatch continues early in the morning or late in the day, look for blue wings on the overcast days and caddis activity on the sunny ones..  Dry fly fishing can be fantastic and the nymph and streamer fishing is quite productive as well.  The middle of the day into the afternoon is still the best time to hit the river in the Spring.  Flows are a little bit higher than they were a few weeks ago so be mindful of where you are crossing the river.  If you get there early or stay late the streamer fishing has been good before and after the hatch.
