Lower Provo River Fishing Report 01/03/2025

Location

Lower Provo River

Overview

The Lower Section of the Provo River below Deer Creek Reservoir is currently at about 150 CFS. Flows have been up and down the last few weeks but the fishing has remained relatively consistent. Nymphing sow bugs has been productive during the warmer parts of the day (10am to 4pm.) Pairing a small midge or baetis above a sowbug on your nymph rig can attract some attention as well. That canyon can get pretty windy this time of year so be prepared for some chilly temps!

Weber River Fishing Report 01/03/2025

Location

Weber River

Overview

The Weber river between Rockport and Echo reservoirs is currently at a flow of 23 CFS. This is a low flow but normal for our winter months. Most fish will have moved down into Echo reservoir to get into some deeper and colder moving water, we advise avoiding this fishery until the flows come back up in the spring to give resident fish a chance to rest post-spawn as they are living in a low-water, low-oxygen environment at the moment.

Green River Fishing Report 8/22/2024

Location

Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam

Overview

Flows on the Green will start out at 1000 CFS and will bump up to about 1800 CFS as the day progresses. The dry fly eat has been tricky, most fish are keyed into smaller mayflies with some willing to eat some terrestrials, but you’ll have to work for it! The nymphing has been good, with fish eating smaller flies subsurface like small scuds, midges, mayfly and caddis patterns.
